Zilveren Camera 2024
The Zilveren Camera is back in Museum Hilversum. The exhibition brings the power of photojournalism to a wide audience. It tells stories that touch, gives important themes a platform and records developments that are part of our collective memory.
The Zilveren Camera is the award for photojournalism and documentary photography in the Netherlands. Dutch professional photographers, photography students in their final year and foreign photographers living or working in the Netherlands could submit their photos from 2024. The best photos will be displayed in the exhibition. Last year Sakir Khader won the Zilveren Camera.
The winner of 2024 is Remko de Waal, with his photo 'On the road to gold' of Sifan Hassan during the Olympic marathon in Paris. The winner of the Prize for Storytelling is Çiğdem Yüksel, with her series 'If you only knew – The first generation of women from Turkey in the Netherlands'.
During the exhibition it is possible to vote for the Audience Award, in Museum Hilversum and online. See the nominees here.
